Calendar

Attendance at Pre-Sessions, Orientations, Retreats, Experience Volunteer and Spiritual Exploration Days is mandatory. Please get all these dates on your personal calendar! You are only allowed to miss one (1) of the above for any unexcused absence.

Let your Coordinator/SLA know if something will prevent you from participating in a scheduled event. Your Coordinator might suggest alternative ways for you to engage with the day’s content. However, your absence will always have an impact on the experience of community that day.

You Need to Be There

Pre Sessions: 5 2hr sessions beginning April 13 2025. The group will decide after the April 13 what day and time to meet weekly based on calendars.

Getting Started

Its Orientation Week! you’ll have opportunities to meet with local Friends and learn about your neighborhood and city. You’ll also receive a feedback form from the Director of Program, asking about the relationships you’re developing. Your feedback is always welcome!

Week 1

Over the time you spend in Summer Lab, you’ll work on building a community. During these first days, you’ll also be setting patterns for House worship and decision-making.

Week 2

This week marks the halfway mark of your Summer Lab Experience. You’ll have a second round of check-ins with your Coordinator

Week 3

It’s natural to start thinking about what comes next. You’ll have opportunities to discern next steps and reflect on what you want to take from your Summer Lab experience into the next chapter of your life.

Week 4

During your last week in the House, please plan to spend time cleaning. Local Friends will do some deep cleaning, but we expect you to conduct a final, thorough cleaning of the house, remove soon-to-expire food from the fridge, launder all sheets and towels, and remove personal belongings before leaving. You’ll also receive a feedback form from the Director of Program, asking about the relationships you’re developing. Your feedback is always welcome!
